I don't think the governor's position makes any sense. So he is vetoing the bill in order to defer to the judiciary, instead of reflecting the will of the people via their democratically elected legislators?
It would be one thing if he simple said he thought it was a bad bill, and he was personally against it, but his explanation is just plain odd.
